Plastic injection molds are Tool steel molds used to make parts from a wide range of plastics, including nylons, acrylics, elastomers, PP, ABS and reinforced materials like glass-filled polyamide. Mold Making Processes at Synertek Mold making is a complex process that requires significant skill and experience. While each project is unique, a typical sequence for producing a set of molds is as follows at Synertek Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Once the customer confirms the order, we perform an initial analysis of the parts to understand the part line, gate positions, and other critical details. Mold Design and Mold Flow Analysis In this step, we take help of #Moldflow analysis and #CAD #3Dmodeling software to simulate the behavior of molten material within the mold. This allows us to optimize the design before proceeding further. CNC Machining and EDM We create the initial molds using high-quality machining equipment. The material (steel Grades like #P20, #WPSsteel, EN grade steels , aluminum, etc.) is selected based on the customer's specifications. First Sample trial Using the newly created molds, we produce sample to visualize the final molded parts and ensure they meet the customer's expectations. Improvements if Necessary Based on first sample, if needed, adjust the mold design to address any issues identified. Production and Shipping Following the final specifications, we manufacture the molds and then ship them to the customer.
